Gift Membership FAQs
I want to renew a Gift Membership, what do I do?
There is not a separate “Renew” button for renewals. If you have previously gifted a membership and want to renew it, simply follow the same steps as before, by clicking “Purchase Membership” and follow the prompts.
Can I buy a gift membership but not have it start until a later date?
No. ALL memberships are active the day they are purchased. This cannot be adjusted.
Do you mail a membership card or a gift certificate to the family I bought a membership for?
No, we DO NOT send any information about gift memberships to gift recipients. We don’t want to spoil any surprises! All information about the gift membership is emailed to the purchaser. You will receive an email from us with a PDF of the Gift Membership certificate that you can print out. We use digital membership cards. Gift membership recipients will not be mailed a membership card.
What if I want to give a visit to the museum, not a year-long membership?
You can purchase Gift Passes which are good for a one-time visit to any Play Session.
The other parent listed on the membership will not be using it. Can I replace them with myself or another family member instead?
No. Memberships are non-transferable. If another adult will be visiting regularly with the family, we recommend adding a Guest Option to the membership, and—great news—for the month of December, if you buy a membership, you get One Guest Option for free!
Passport Membership
A Family Membership that travels!- All the benefits of a Family Membership.
- Admission benefits* (free or reduced) to more than 300 organization within the Association of Science and Technology Centers Network—including the Boston Museum of Science.
- Admission benefits* (50% reduced) to more than 200 organizations within Association of Children’s Museums Network.
- Can add up to two Guest Options. One Guest Option costs $25, or two Guest Options costs $40.
- A 10% Military discount on all membership levels can be applied only when purchased in person at the museum with military ID.
- Passport Memberships are non transferrable, unless the pass has a Guest Option. Families may add a Guest Option to their membership and bring a guest with them every time they visit. Limit of 2 Guest Options per membership. The Guest Option may be used for caregivers bringing children to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire when a named adult is not present.

Our most popular membership!- Provides admission for two parents and their dependent children under 18.
- Unlimited visits to CMNH for one year.
- 10% off museum shop, classes, camps, and museum rentals.
- Pre-sale access and invitations to special events.
- No reciprocal benefits.
- Can add up to two Guest Options. One Guest Option costs $25, or two Guest Options costs $40.

* PLEASE NOTE: Participants in the ASTC Passport Program and ACM Reciprocal Network set their own reciprocal admission policies and restrictions. We recommend you visit their websites and/or call ahead. There are 4 museums in Maine, 14 museums in Massachusetts, and 3 museums in New Hampshire—not including us—who participate in these reciprocal programs. Guest Options ONLY apply at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire and cannot be used at ASTC/ACM organizations.
Grandparent Membership OptionS
All levels of CMNH Memberships can be purchased as “Grandparent Memberships”. These Memberships are for the Grandparent(s) living within the same household and their Grandchildren (grandchildren do not have to live in same household as grandparents). Please note that a grandparent’s adult “children” may NOT be added to these memberships. To include adult children, grandparents can add Guest Options. Grandparents may add a Guest Option to their membership and bring a guest (or parent) with them every time they visit. Limit of two Guest Options per membership. The Guest Option may be used for parents bringing children to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire when a named grandparent is not present

Enjoy the ease of accessing your card on your phone for quick check-ins at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire!
- Download ‘eMembership Card’ app for your device.
- Select the “Children’s Museum of New Hampshire” tile.
- Select ‘Find My Membership Cards’.
- Enter your phone number and your last name.
- Select ‘Download my cards’ and your membership card will be saved in the eMembership App!
Please Note: You only have to download it once.
Present your eMembership App every time you visit the museum. (Members are also expected to reserve a date/time when planning a visit to the museum)
