Visitors can make sparkly recycled-paper hats throughout the event and enjoy a fun New Year backdrop! CMNH’s New Year’s Eve Celebration is a special ticketed event with prices different from our regular museum admission. Reservations and prepayment required. The Museum closes early at 3pm on New Years Eve and will be closed on New Year’s Day. SUMMARY:Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly Playtime
DESCRIPTION:For some children\, a museum visit is challenging and over-stimulating. The Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly playtimes are exclusive to families of children with special needs. These reduced admission\, low-sensory events are designed for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders to explore the Museum along with their families without the noise\, crowds\, and stimulation of a typical day. The museum is closed to the public during Exploring Our Way playtimes. We limit attendance\, turn down sounds and lights\, provide a quiet zone with sensory activities\, and have noise-canceling headphones to borrow. A medical diagnosis is not required. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate your child’s next birthday with us! Birthday Parties are available to book at CMNH on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Families have access to a private classroom area for food and cake\, along with complete access to the museum’s exhibits. The museum is closed to the public during birthday parties\, however parties are at the same time and are NOT private. If you want a private party\, you must book both party times. Parents are expected to stay with their children while playing in the museum\, and help them follow museum rules. Children may not be left unattended at any time. SUMMARY:Junior Science Class: Amazing Animals
DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, January 5-26th (Four weeks)\, 9:30-10:15am \nJoin us for Junior Science at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. We are excited to invite junior scientists (ages 3.5–5 years old) to our January session\, offered on Monday mornings! This 45 minute drop-off class includes a story and a fun science experiment related to each month’s theme. Grown-ups are welcome to stay in the building during class time\, and families with siblings may opt to play on the second floor during the class time – please note that the museum is closed to the public on Mondays.  \nCost is Members $60/child; Non-Members $66/child.  \nPre-registration is required.
