DESCRIPTION:S.C.A.R.E. stands for Secondhand Costume Annual Redistribution Effort—and their efforts are coming to the Children’s Museum of NH in Dover for a free costume giveaway. This event is open to the public\, but to stay and play in the museum exhibits\, normal museum admission applies. Come check out all the amazing free costumes\, sign a simple waiver\, and take home some Halloween magic for the kids. Costumes range in size from infant up to adult sizes. Visitors are welcome to bring in costumes to donate to S.C.A.R.E.\, but it is not required to participate.

DESCRIPTION:For some children\, a museum visit is challenging and over-stimulating. The Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly playtimes are exclusive to families of children with special needs. These reduced admission\, low-sensory events are designed for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders to explore the Museum along with their families without the noise\, crowds\, and stimulation of a typical day. The museum is closed to the public during Exploring Our Way playtimes. We limit attendance\, turn down sounds and lights\, provide a quiet zone with sensory activities\, and have noise-canceling headphones to borrow. A medical diagnosis is not required. DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, October 6\, 13\, 20 & 27 (4 weeks)\, 9:30–10:15am \nJoin us for Junior Science at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. We are excited to invite junior scientists (ages 3.5–5 years old) to our October session\, offered on Monday mornings! This 45 minute drop-off class includes a story and a fun science experiment related to each month’s theme. Grown-ups are welcome to stay in the building during class time\, and families with siblings may opt to play on the second floor during the class time—please note that the museum is closed to the public on Mondays.
