DESCRIPTION:Monday\, December 1 (one class)\, 10:45-11:30am \nJoin us for Little Artists at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. We are excited to invite little artists (ages 3.5–5 years old) to our December session\, offered on the first Monday of the month! This 45 minute drop-off class includes a story and an art project to take home. Grown-ups are welcome to stay in the building during class time\, and families with siblings may opt to play on the second floor during the class time – please note that the museum is closed to the public on Mondays. DESCRIPTION:For some children\, a museum visit is challenging and over-stimulating. The Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly playtimes are exclusive to families of children with special needs. These reduced admission\, low-sensory events are designed for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders to explore the Museum along with their families without the noise\, crowds\, and stimulation of a typical day. The museum is closed to the public during Exploring Our Way playtimes. We limit attendance\, turn down sounds and lights\, provide a quiet zone with sensory activities\, and have noise-canceling headphones to borrow. A medical diagnosis is not required. Tinkering helps little ones develop fine motor skills\, increases problem solving abilities\, and is an open invitation to foster peer relationships! What is tinkering?! Tinkering can range from taking something apart and putting it back together to making an open-ended sculpture\, to playing with “loose parts” and special science tools. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our special family-friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration and ring in the New Year before bedtime! Enjoy “countdowns to midnight” at 10:30am during the morning event (9–11:30am) or at 2pm during the afternoon event (12:30–3pm)—we’ll lower our glittery disco ball\, confetti will fly through the air\, and wish blimps made by visitors will gently fall to the ground. Visitors can make sparkly recycled-paper hats throughout the event and enjoy a fun New Year backdrop! CMNH’s New Year’s Eve Celebration is a special ticketed event with prices different from our regular museum admission. Reservations and prepayment required. The Museum closes early at 3pm on New Years Eve and will be closed on New Year’s Day.
