SUMMARY:Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly Playtime
DESCRIPTION:For some children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders\, a visit to museums like the Children’s Museum of NH is challenging or over-stimulating. Exploring Our Way are FREE low-sensory events designed for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders\, and allow them to explore the Museum along with their families without the noise\, crowds\, and stimulation of a typical open day. We limit the number of families who can attend\, turn down sounds and lights\, provide a quiet zone with sensory activities away from the exhibit floor\, and have noise-canceling headphones to borrow. DESCRIPTION:Our annual Car or Cash Raffle fundraiser comes to an end tonight! Raffle tickets are $100 and a first place prize winner will get to choose between $25\,000 towards a new vehicle from Bill Dube Ford Toyota\, or $20\,000 cash. A 2nd place prize winner will win $5\,000 cash. Online ticket sales end today at noon today. Then from 5-6:30pm\, ticket purchasers (plus one guest 18+) are invited to the live drawing event\, held at The Brook Casino in Seabrook\, NH. A $1\,000 door prize (sponsored by Bill Dube Ford Toyota) will be awarded to a ticket purchaser who is at the live drawing event. \nTicket sales at the Brook end at 5:50pm. All ticket purchasers are invited to enjoy complimentary appetizers\, beverages\, and a cash bar (21+). DESCRIPTION:The annual NH Maker Fest is an all-ages celebration of creativity and innovation\, organized and hosted by CMNH. The Fest is a gathering of fascinating\, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From artists to entertainers\, to entrepreneurs to homesteaders\, the Maker Fest is a venue for these “Makers” to show hobbies\, experiments\, projects\, and for all of us to discover something new. The Fest takes place in and around the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in downtown Dover\, NH on the first Saturday of June from 10am-3pm. Play with bubbles\, experiment with science\, learn new skills\, take a selfie with a robot\, and so much more! Entrance into the Fest is by donation (suggested $5/person).
