School Year Traveling Programs

Let us come to you!

Traveling 2

During the school year, book a traveling group visit with the Children's Museum of New Hampshire, and bring our programs to your school, library, or organization! Choose from two topics: Amazing Animal Builders, or Mind Blowing Matter - both are packed with hands-on STEAM activities and experiments. Programs are one hour long, and wrap up with a hands-on project that students make and take home.

Programs Topics

Kidsw Beaver Lodge

Amazing Animal Builders

A museum educator will lead children in a hands-on exciting, informative presentation - with a focus on the food web, river ecosystem, and the way animals fit into their niche within it. Children will explore four activity stations and guess which animal or type of animal built the model structure. At the end, our educator will reveal the answers, and share some fun facts about each builder.

The program will wrap-up with every participant building their own mini osprey nest platform that will actually hold weight! Children will have a chance to test and re-design their creation. Children can also make osprey nests and a mini bird craft to take home.

Mind Blowing Matter

Learn how rocks can change their state of matter and watch other items change right before your eyes! Observe startlingly science-filled experiments and demonstrations and make an incredible shrink paper craft - that will look like real glass - to take home!

Children will have 4 activity stations to learn about the states of matter, then the program will wrap-up with every participant creating their own shrink-paper design - watching it transform its shape - seemingly by magic.
