EMPLOYMENT

Visitor Services Associate

The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire (CMNH) seeks a part-time Visitor Services Associate for Fridays 8:30am–4:30pm and Sundays from 8:30am–12:30pm. As the first contact with Museum visitors, VSAs play a vital role in providing a quality visitor experience. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as they perform a variety of duties including welcoming and orienting all visitors, selling general admission tickets and Museum memberships, and answering visitor questions. Successful VSAs are welcoming, engaging, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service.

Visitor Services Associates serve as a frontline ambassador for CMNH in a multi-functional role. They are directly responsible for setting the tone of every museum visit by welcoming families to the museum. VSAs provide orientations to visitors and answer questions about the museum, our memberships, programs, and events. VSAs are also responsible for all front desk transactions: admissions, memberships, field trip visits, and shop sales. They are required to open and close the register and use the Altru POS system to process sales. VSAs also monitor the Museum entrance and Play Patio via a monitor at the front desk. Additionally, VSAs serve as the first point of contact for any additional visitors to the Museum: taking deliveries, directing vendors and meeting participants. They support the general operations and activities of the Museum in other duties as assigned and are a crucial member of the Museum team. And finally, VSAs assist with the evaluation and survey projects of the museum, interacting with visitors and families as they enter and exit the museum to assess the quality of their experience.
