The museum offers fun and creative half-day camps for small groups of different ages, facilitated by our experienced educators. 

Camp Info

  • Each day starts with time to explore the museum, followed by activities in the classroom, with time to play games and have a snack outside in the park (weather permitting).
  • Please pack a water bottle and snack

Discovery Camps for Ages 6–7

FULL – Slimy Science Discovery Camp

Tues., July 14 – Thu., July 16
8:30–11:30am

For ages 6–7

Dive into the amazing world of creatures that use slime, mucus, and goo to survive—from gliding snails and protective oysters to slippery frogs. Each half-day, young scientists will explore new slimy creatures through hands-on learning and STEAM projects. The best part? Campers become master chemists and mix up a different, unique batch of slime every day to take home!

Ancient Greek Discovery Camp

Tues., July 28 – Thu., July 30
8:30–11:30am

For ages 6–7

Join us for a fun adventure to ancient Greece! Campers will travel back in time to learn about heroes, gods, and monsters through exciting stories, fun crafts, and lots of games. Kids will play active games inspired by myths, make art like the ancient Greeks, and learn what life was like long ago. We’ll spend the last day of camp competing in our very own Olympic Games!

Eco Builders STEAM Discovery Camp

Tues., August 4 – Thu., August 6
8:30–11:30am

For ages 6–7

Campers will learn all about ecology, the environment, and animals through fun STEAM projects and experiments! This camp offers campers opportunities to try out engineering challenges, like building an animal crossing, make art projects to take home, and try messy and fun experiments! Campers will practice problem solving and engineering through games, stories, and hands-on projects.

3D Print It Camps

FULL – 3D Print It Discovery Camp for Beginners

Tues., August 11 – Thu., August 13
8:30–11:30am

For ages 8–10

Designed as an introductory course, campers will have an opportunity to learn how 3D objects are printed from the ground up using free and accessible software. Each camper will get to bring home a 3D printed object that they choose as well as try hands-on art and science activities to further explore 3D objects, melting, and matter.

Advanced 3D Print It Camp

Tues., August 18 – Thu., August 20
8:30–1:30pm

For ages 10–12+
Please note: This camp is for children ages 10–12. If your child is older than 12, but would like to attend, please contact us to learn more at [email protected]

Designed as an advanced course for those who have taken the beginner camp or have experience with 3D printers, campers will learn in depth about how to break down objects into their basic shapes and have an opportunity to learn how complex 3D objects are printed from the ground up. Each camper will get to bring home a scene that they create and design using 3D printed technology. In addition, campers will try hands-on art and science activities to further explore 3D objects, melting, and matter.

Mini Camps for Ages 4–5

FULL – World Wonders Art Mini Camp

For ages 4–5 (must use bathroom independently)

Campers will travel around the world and learn about different art and crafts projects from several cultures.

FULL – Nature Creations: Gnome & Fairy Mini Camp

Tues., July 28 – Thu., July 30
8:30–11:30am

For ages 4–5 (must use bathroom independently)

Kids will use their imaginations and collected items from nature to design and build a mini house, fort, or other fairy or gnome structure to take home!
