Wacky Art Wednesdays
Children's Museum 6 Washington Street, Dover, NH, United StatesJoin us at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire every Wednesday at either 10:30am or 2:30pm to do a wacky and wonderful art project. Children are invited to join our educators to make a wacky and wonderful art project to take home! We’ll take inspiration from art in our own Gallery 6, from famous artists, or from the world around us. Want to join in? Simply reserve spots in the museum’s play session that correspond to the date of the Wacky Art Wednesday you want to join! Included with museum admission, and as always, free for Members! STEAM programs are sponsored by Granite State Development Corporation, Breezeline, Eversource, Sprague, and Novocure. RESERVE YOUR SPOT

Children's Museum 6 Washington Street, Dover, NH, United StatesCelebrate your child's next birthday with us! Birthday Parties are available to book at CMNH on Friday and Sunday afternoons. Families have access to a private classroom area for food and cake, along with complete access to the museum's exhibits. The museum is closed to the public during birthday parties, however parties are at the same time and are NOT private. If you want a private party, you must book both party times. Parents are expected to stay with their children while playing in the museum, and help them follow museum rules. Children may not be left unattended at any time. Online booking required. “The Art of Felting” Art Workshop with Rachel Benson
FeaturedChildren's Museum 6 Washington Street, Dover, NH, United StatesLearn the basics of felting in this free open-ended, drop-in workshop, included with museum admission. Children and families are invited to watch a demo and feel a variety of felted items and different types of wool, as well as experiment with wet felting and take home a tiny felted acorn. This workshop is included with regular Museum admission and free for members. No separate registration required—please reserve tickets online for the Saturday morning play session, 9am–Noon. Rachel is a fiber artist whose work is currently featured in the museum’s Gallery 6 art exhibition “Curious Creatures” on view through September, 2025. Learn More

Grown-up Art Workshop: “Make a Felt Owl”
FeaturedChildren's Museum 6 Washington Street, Dover, NH, United StatesGrown-ups, are you looking to be creative and try something new? Do you love art that you can touch? If so, join fiber artist Rachel Benson from The Fiber Web to learn the fun possibilities of working with fibers! In this workshop, adults will work three dimensionally to needle felt an adorable owl with detail colors of your choosing and get to explore different felting techniques. The possibilities with fiber are endless! No experience required and all materials provided. This workshop requires pre-registration and is for adults: $45 per adult (CMNH Members: $42).
