Join us at the museum for a day full of Earth-loving fun! Do some Earth-friendly crafts, spring-themed drop-in activities, plant some flowers to take home (donated by Wentworth Greenhouses), and try an Earth Day-themed scavenger hunt. Special guest Dandelion Band will be performing at 11am and 1:30pm, and will share songs about gardening and nature. All the fun is included with museum admission.

Bunny Basics with Pope Memorial Humane Society

Join special guests from the Pope Memorial Humane Society to learn some bunny basics! This fun and informative event is all about pet rabbits  and is perfect for families who are thinking about adopting a bunny or already share their home with one. From housing and diet to grooming and vet care, this educational session will cover the essentials of rabbit care with plenty of helpful advice from experts along with some fun activities for kids. Whether you’re a new bunny parent or just curious about what makes these furry companions so special, you’ll leave with the knowledge (and probably a few adorable photos) to keep your rabbit happy and healthy.

Visit + Storytime with Author Katy Hunt

Join us during the morning play session (9am-Noon) for a special story time (at 10am) with local author Katy Hunt, who will be reading her book, There’s a Wub in My Tub. This story is about a cat named Wash, who is a shy guy, but loves to play with his toys. One day he loses his favorite cat toy (his “wub”), and has to go looking for it. Can you guess where Wash finds his wub? Come to story time to find out!

Farm Fun Day

Celebrate the museum’s newest exhibit, Little Farmers, with two special guests! Leslie from Sturgeon Creek Farm in Eliot, ME will be bringing chicks for visitors to interact with from 10-10:45am during the morning play session (9am-Noon). Local author Angelina Natale will be reading stories from her “Sky View Farm Adventures” series at 11am during the morning play session, and again at 1:30pm during the afternoon play session. There will be farm themed crafts and a scavenger hunt to enjoy. *Please note the chicks will be visiting during the morning play session, starting at 10 am.
