PLAY PATIO
A space for messy, creative fun!
The outdoor Play Patio offers opportunities for children to engage with materials that are challenging to offer inside the museum, such as water, sand, paint, and bubbles. Enjoy activities that change month-to-month, as well as an outdoor kitchen, large paint wall, sensory tables, PVC tube musical instrument, magnetic wall, and color caster sculpture for light, shadow, and color play. We also use this space to host visiting guests, educator-led activities like flower planting or sun printing, and even bubble dance parties!
Also included on the patio are picnic tables for outdoor snacking, as well as a sink and hand-dryer for easy cleanup before you head back inside.
Access to the Play Patio is included with museum admission!
PLEASE NOTE: The Play Patio is closed during colder weather months and might be closed if there is inclement weather on the day of your visit.
