Learn the basics of felting in this free open-ended, drop-in workshop, included with museum admission. Children and families are invited to watch a demo and feel a variety of felted items and different types of wool, as well as experiment with wet felting and take home a tiny felted acorn. This workshop is included with regular Museum admission and free for members. No separate registration required—please reserve tickets online for the Saturday morning play session, 9am–Noon. Grown-ups, are you looking to be creative and try something new? Do you love art that you can touch? If so, join fiber artist Rachel Benson from The Fiber Web to learn the fun possibilities of working with fibers! In this workshop, adults will work three dimensionally to needle felt an adorable owl with detail colors of your choosing and get to explore different felting techniques. The possibilities with fiber are endless! No experience required and all materials provided. This workshop requires pre-registration and is for adults: $45 per adult (CMNH Members: $42).
