This weekly program features songs, rhymes, movement ideas, and books for babies and their caregivers and introduces important pre-literacy skills along the way! Children are invited to join our educators to make a wacky and wonderful art project to take home! We’ll take inspiration from art in our own Gallery 6, from famous artists, or from the world around us. Want to join in?     The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is excited to welcome back Oaxacan wood carver Norberto Fabian, son of the late master carver Ventura Fabian! Norberto will share his artwork with museum guests, do a demonstration, and answer questions. This program will start at 10:30am (during the museum’s morning play session from 9 am–Noon) on Sunday, November 2, is included with museum admission, and is, as always, free for Museum Members.  Learn More

    Visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire today during the morning play session, 9am–Noon, and meet one of our Gallery 6 artists, Olivia Christian, at 10:30am. She’ll guide you through the process of mixing watercolor paint to create your own color wheel! The fun is included with museum admission and free for Members.     Bruce the bear, that grumpy cook and mother to geese and mice, will be visiting the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire to greet young fans and help promote the love of reading! Museum educators will be doing a story time while a friendly costumed Bruce visits! Bruce will be available for hugs, high-paws, and photos at 2pm during the afternoon play session (1–4pm) on Saturday. Each story time lasts approximately 30 minutes—please time your arrival accordingly to guarantee a visit with Bruce. Want to meet Bruce?     Join us for a weekly program that emphasizes the importance of tinkering! Tinkering helps little ones develop fine motor skills, increases problem solving abilities, and is an open invitation to foster peer relationships! What is tinkering?! Tinkering can range from taking something apart and putting it back together to making an open-ended sculpture, to playing with “loose parts” and special science tools. We will have different activities every week and some old favorites will pop up again and again. Want to join in?
