  • Artist Visit: Haley Searcy

    Visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire today during the afternoon play session, 1–4pm, and meet one of our Gallery 6 artists, Haley Searcy at 2:30pm. Haley will help you bring your favorite color to life with a fun “Make Your Own Pin” activity. Kids can decorate a pre-cut circle with their favorite color using markers, crayons, or stickers, and Haley will help you turn it into a colorful take-home creation. The fun is included with museum admission and free for Members. Haley’s work is currently on view in the museum’s Gallery 6 “Stroll the Rainbow” art exhibition. Learn More

    The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is excited to welcome back Oaxacan wood carver Norberto Fabian, son of the late master carver Ventura Fabian! Norberto will share his artwork with museum guests, do a demonstration, and answer questions. This program will start at 10:30am (during the museum’s morning play session from 9 am–Noon) on Sunday, November 2, is included with museum admission, and is, as always, free for Museum Members.  Learn More

    Visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire today during the morning play session, 9am–Noon, and meet one of our Gallery 6 artists, Olivia Christian, at 10:30am. She’ll guide you through the process of mixing watercolor paint to create your own color wheel! The fun is included with museum admission and free for Members.     Visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire today during the morning play session, 9am–Noon, and meet one of our Gallery 6 artists, Elise Morissette, at 10:30am. Elise will guide visitors as they try some Suminagashi—Floating Ink Art! Try this relaxing style of printmaking where water carries ink in swirls and colorful rings. No experience necessary and perfect for all ages. The fun is included with museum admission and free for Members.     Principal Strings from the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra: "Frozen, Fish, and Fairytales" Saturday, March 28, 2 pm Come play in the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire on Saturday, March 28 from 1–4pm and catch a special performance by the principal string players from the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra at 2pm! The duo, who have performed together across New England, will play their “Frozen, Fish, and Fairytales” show, featuring music from popular movies and shows that you may recognize! This performance is included with museum admission (free for Members) thanks to the generous sponsorship by The Fuller Foundation and Dover Rotary Club.  Learn More
