The Dancing Chickens of Ventura Fabian
The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is excited to welcome back Oaxacan wood carver Norberto Fabian, son of the late master carver Ventura Fabian! Norberto will share his artwork with museum guests, do a demonstration, and answer questions. This program will start at 10:30am (during the museum’s morning play session from 9 am–Noon) on Sunday, November 2, is included with museum admission, and is, as always, free for Museum Members. Birthday Party Rentals Available – Sundays
Celebrate your child's next birthday with us! Birthday Parties are available to book at CMNH on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Families have access to a private classroom area for food and cake, along with complete access to the museum's exhibits. The museum is closed to the public during birthday parties, however parties are at the same time and are NOT private. If you want a private party, you must book both party times. Parents are expected to stay with their children while playing in the museum, and help them follow museum rules. Children may not be left unattended at any time. Online booking required. Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly Playtime
For some children, a museum visit is challenging and over-stimulating. The Exploring Our Way: Sensory Friendly playtimes are exclusive to families of children with special needs. These reduced admission, low-sensory events are designed for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders to explore the Museum along with their families without the noise, crowds, and stimulation of a typical day. The museum is closed to the public during Exploring Our Way playtimes. We limit attendance, turn down sounds and lights, provide a quiet zone with sensory activities, and have noise-canceling headphones to borrow. A medical diagnosis is not required. Little Artists: Printing
Monday, November 3 (one class), 10:45–11:30am Join us for Little Artists at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. We are excited to invite little artists (ages 3.5–5 years old) to our November session, offered on the first Monday of the month! This 45 minute drop-off class includes a story and an art project to take home. Grown-ups are welcome to stay in the building during class time, and families with siblings may opt to play on the second floor during the class time—please note that the museum is closed to the public on Mondays. Artist Visit: Olivia Christian
Visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire today during the morning play session, 9am–Noon, and meet one of our Gallery 6 artists, Olivia Christian, at 10:30am. She’ll guide you through the process of mixing watercolor paint to create your own color wheel! The fun is included with museum admission and free for Members. Olivia’s work is currently on view in the museum’s Gallery 6 “Stroll the Rainbow” art exhibition. Learn More
