LITTLE FARMERS

Little Farmers is designed for children five and under and encourages imaginative play while enhancing fine and gross motor skills, early literacy, child-caregiver relationships, and empathy. Help us tend to the farm by harvesting crops, brushing the life-size cow and pig, collecting eggs in the hen house, bottle-feeding the piglets, and driving the tractor. At the listening station, discover farm animal noises and the different words we use for those noises in English and Spanish.

Nestled within our Little Farmers exhibit, you’ll find The Homestead—a calming space designed for those that need to take a breath and reset.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: While The Homestead is integrated into our Little Farmers exhibit and was designed to be inviting, please note that it is not a playspace. We ask you to be mindful of other visitors who may also need to use this space during their visit.
