PRIMARY PLACE:
AN EARLY LEARNING LANDSCAPE
AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Why is there and age limit for this exhibit?
We believe it is very important for our youngest visitors and their families to have a separate, enclosed and secure place in the museum, away from the “hustle and bustle” of “big” kids. This area was designed with their learning needs and physical size in mind. If your child is interested in this exhibit, you are welcome to come in and explore together. Please be sensitive to the needs and safety of our youngest visitors.
Especially designed for our youngest visitors!
Perched on the museum’s mezzanine, Primary Place is designed for visitors from birth to age 3, offering a colorful, safe, and stimulating environment. Babies and toddlers can explore the Baby Butterfly Garden with soft sculptures and early learning activities, while parents enjoy a resource center and cozy nursing nook. The Pond area features stepping stones and animal puppets for imaginative play. Kids can also enjoy a toddler-friendly climbing structure and the multi-tiered Brio Train Table surrounded by a NH landscape mural.
