SCOUT PROGRAM

Scouts spend an afternoon at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire enjoying the many exhibits and taking part in several educational, hands-on activities! Choose from our many STEAM program topics designed for Girl and Boy Scouts grades K–6 and their adult chaperones.

WHEN: 1:30–4pm Saturday afternoons

COST: $20 per child and $15 per adult

This fee includes all workshops and materials and access to all museum exhibits.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date and time. A minimum of 12 children and a maximum of 30 children required.

STEAM Program Topics

Royal Patterns

Explore patterns and symmetry and create some royal crafts, then pretend you are a princess or prince in our Pattern Palace exhibit!

Activities include: Decorate a Crown & Butterfly Wand Craft

Floating Fairy Creations

Explore flight through wind and air experiments by creating a flying fairy to test on our air blower, then decorate a mini paper house for your fairy.

STEAM Design and Engineering (Flight)

Experience the fun of the design process as you create and test things that float, fly, and soar through the sky.

What’s the Matter!?

Explore the many elements of matter. Experiment with changing matter and transform familiar items from one form to another.

Activities include: Matter Magic Experiments (magic glove or balloon) & Shrink Paper Charm

Matter Mania!

Explore the three states of matter with this fun workshop! Participate in some chemistry experiments that show the states of matter in action!

Activities include: Homemade Slime Bar & Fizzy Drips Experiment

Science Art!

Combine art and science as you create amazing works of art and experiment with how things work. Then, watch matter change before your eyes!

Activities include: Chromatography Critter Art & Shrink Art Sculptures
